Pianists

I am very proud of my two oldest boys. Connor and Preston had their Christmas recital yesterday. Preston did great! His first recital. He did so well that he decided to play his piece FOUR times. Finally, his instructor started clapping after he finished it the fourth time so that he wouldn't do it a fifth. Connor was very disappointed with his recital, but we were proud. You see Connor only brought one of the two pieces of music, so when he discovered his mistake he decided to sight read "Up on the House Top" without ever having looked at it, let alone played the music. We couldn't believe it. I can't say that he played it perfectly, but he did something neither Alyson or myself would have dreamed of doing. He played "Deck The Halls" with excellence (he actually practiced that one). One thing is for sure, they were the best looking kids at the recital!
